It has really been a long long long time since I've blogged an entry here.

(: Siewmai really did a great job in revamping the blog. Haha it looks so much nicer now.

Anyway, looking back, I am really missing the orientation days and the first half of the year when we slacked and had fun together. After hanging out with you guys through this whole year, I feel that I am kind of lucky to be in the same class as you people. Unlike my previous classes, all of you people are nice, real and trustable friends whom I can rely upon. (: Guess it's kind of hard to be able to find such a nice bunch of people elsewhere eh.

Now that promos are over, all the best for PW everyone! I know some of us are getting fustrated and irritated. Persevere and jiayou people! We shall tolerate and tahan together.

On the other hand, lol. Can we like put one day aside for Sentosa the coming sunday or monday?? (: Stef and I really want to go there and hang out with you guys. haha.

-better grasp of current affairs
-learn to question, develop critical thinking, hence can avoid remaining simple minded
-making judgment
-moral values
-exposure to alternative / different view points
-more civil minded, heightens cultural sensitivity, shapes character and social awareness

Disagree
-quality of education?
-elitism, snobbish
-politicized views/ biased, not well-balanced
-forming wrong mind sets
-NOT always
-educated people = morally right people??
-white collar criminals?
-merits and demerits
-use education as a platform to disseminate

2 parameters / criteria must be met for education to bring our the best in one- attitude of person and quality of education

2. Environment conservation is a losing battle in today’s world.

-individual: mentality (causes and effects)
-government: economic concerns are the top priority. Economic is growing at the expense of the environment
-society: not following guidelines (causes and effects)
-global: countries are not cooperating, cannot come to consensus (Kyoto Protocol)
-Timeliness- is it too little? Too late?
-unpredictable weather, freaky climate

Disagree
-Live earth- signs of people all over the world coming together to fight for the environment
-advancement in technology leading to inventions that provides alternative energies and conservation of natural resources

3. Reading is a redundant art in this day & age
Engaging minds, have to understand the contents in the book

-rise of visual culture
-more fond of movies and tv
-skimming through parts of books over the net, not reading
-redundant to which group of people? Youths?

-books like harry potter have revived reading as an art
-movies become big due to the popularity of the book

The pretty ex-victorian Felicia Chin! Hahaha. Jt was super shy. He didn't dare to approach felicia to ask if we could take photo with her. :D In the end Xianglin had to help him to ask. Lol.

Oh. And you must be wondering who's that girl standing beside steffi... She's a new new transfer student.. YAR RIGHT. lol. no la. She's our CIC mate.

PW is irritating.

-.-" I bet everyone is like rushing their Eom now. lol. I am here to slack a while. Think my eom is crappy. :\ couldn't think of anything else to write already... but I've only written 2 paragraphs.

Anyway! After cursing so much about PW, have you all ever wondered who is the person who came up with the ingenious idea- PW? Haha.

I did.
And I heard from my friend that the person is a teacher from SAJC...

Lol. I bet everyone who read this or realised this will have the urge to rush down to SAJC to find out who is this oh-so-nice teacher and take revenge on him/her for coming up with PW. :D Haha, but this is just a rumour. And my friend said they asked around in the school and still couldn't find out who that teacher is exactly.

Oh well, who knows? For all you know, that teacher might be in our school. ><>

I've got luck!
Don't believe?

Initially, I got FOUR tickets during the first allocation.
After second allocation, I managed to get TWO.

Dumb, I know,
BUT!
I missed the collection time for the tickets today.

._. 2 Tickets gone.

Together with steffi, both of us ran down to the booth, cursing.
Then, we realised that they are ballotting some more tickets by 'lucky-drawing' slips of papers with names of people at the booth, who want to try for the tickets.
When they had already reached the last one to be called,
Steffi and I went, ' Wah. No hope liao. We are so stupid!'

But,
miracles do happen.
My name was the last name that was called!
!!

Unbelievable right?

So, I got from 4, to 2, and then now, 1 ticket for music fest!

Lol. Like what adults always say, 中马票也没有这么准。

Okay, so now the time is 11.23pm, and I am still here cracking my head, trying to dig out more points to add into my mindmap, which unfortunately, will be GRADED. Sigh, And I actually haven't started doing the mindmap... I have only just started drafting out the points. Oh, GREAT. ):

Haha, in response to the tags: I think the not-so-like-outing-outing yesterday was fun! Though it wasn't really the activities-filled kind of outing... but it was still nice and extrememly FUNNY. :D HAHA. Guess we have to thank Chin Hao and Xianglin for being so sporting. (: Especially Chin Hao... your dare was very, very, entertaining. And of course, how can we ever forget? The game Wayne taught us. Come on everyone! Chant! 'Um Tsu Tsu Um Tsu, Tooki Tooki Tooki Tooki, Tongkat Tongkat'

Yeah, And the Tauhuey trip... The most unforgettable thing to me was the unknown liquid (which has a weird smell) flowing down from the roof of the block beside the alley we were at.

To avoid Chia Weei from complaining that the blog's fonts are too small, I shall use bigger sized fonts. Yoohoo Chia Weei, can see clearly already? Haha! If not you can use the magnifier to read. XD

Anyway, someone update me what happened during VJ's CNY celebration! My friend told me there was mass dance at the end of the concert. Haha. Any funny things happened in our class during the mass dance? who danced with who during friendship dance? On that day, I actually slept until 11am. It was SO satisfying... to be able to sleep like nobody's business.

Where are we going on Wednesday?? Somehow I look forward to Wed. GET EXCITED PEOPLE. Wednesay is going to be our first class outing!

Yeap, so enjoy the remaining days of CNY people! (:
